New Things in JEE Main 2018

  • From year 2018, Weightage of Standard 12th marks will not be considered for calculating total marks for JEE Main 2018 Examination.
  • From Year 2018, There is no minimum marks percentage required in 12th standard to appear in JEE Main Examination 2018.
  • Candidates who are looking to get into NITs/IITs/IIITs must have secure at least 75% marks in their 12th standard or must haven been into top 20 percentile in class 12th of their respective boards. For SC/ST candidates, marks required in class 12th is 65%.
  • Every candidate must have a valid AADHAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of form filling it will be required. This is mandatory now.

JEE MAIN 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2018 is given below. It is highly recommended thay you must read all eligbility criteria before applying to avoid any kind of interruption.

  • Age Limit : Date of Birth of candidate must not fall before 1st October 1992 for geenral candidates and 1st October 1987 for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
  • Applicants who have appearing /passed 12th or equivalent examination in year 2016 or 2017 with subjects PCM are eligible to apply for examination.
  • Applicants who have passed 12th or equivalent examination in or before 2015 are not eligible for examination.
  • Applicant must have minimum five subjects in standard 12th to be eligible for JEE Main 2018.
  • JEE Main examination can only be attempted for 3 times maximum.
  • 3 Years diploma holders are also eligible for JEE Main Examination.

JEE Main 2018 Examination Application Form / Registration

  • Candidates are required to fill JEE Main application form online. Application form is available from 1st December 2017 to 1 January 2018.
  • There are no any other mode of registration available for application for this examination.
  • Last date for JEE Main 2018 registration is 1 january 2018. This is extended date, so there will not be any more extension to the date for filling application.
  • You cannot fill more than one form. If you fill more than 1 application form then both of your application will be terminated.
  • There is no need of sending physical or printed copy of application form to CBSE.

JEE Main 2018 Application Fee

Application form of JEE Main 2018 is only available online. You can make payment through your debit/credit card. Application fee for JEE Main 2018 can also be made offline with (e-challan of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank). Last day of fee payment is 17th January 2018.

  • Candidates can now make corrections to form even after submitting it.
  • Correction period was announced from 8th of December in 2018.
  • No corrections will be allowed after application fillin last date which is 1st january 2018.

JEE Main Paper 1 (Detailed)

  • It’ll be help for engineering course (B.Tech/B.E).
  • Number of questions in examination will be 90 and all will be MCQs.
  • The whole paper will be coming from 3 subjects (PCM).
  • Language Subjects (Hindi/English) can be selected during application filling.
  • Examination will be commenced via both online and offline mode of examination.
  • Examination time will be 3 hours and 4 hours for candidates having 40% of more disability.
  • Candidate will be awarded 4 marks for each corret answer and will be fined 1 mark for each wrong answer.

JEE Main Paper 2 (Detailed)

  • It’ll be help for architecture course (B.Arch).
  • This examination will be having 82 questiosn out of which 3 questions will be from mathematics, 50 questions from aptitude and 2 descriptive questions will be from drawing. There will be 80 MCQs.
  • Language Subjects (Hindi/English) can be selected during application filling.
  • Examination will be commenced via offline mode of examination.
  • Examination time will be 3 hours and 4 hours for candidates having 40% of more disability.
  • Candidate will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and will be fined 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  • 2 questions fro drawing will contain 70 marks.

JEE Main 2018 Syllabus (Latest)
